Get involved in scubuntu!

General

To keep up with what's happening on the project, it's useful to read the project weblog, where the project team record what they're working on and what their thoughts are on in terms of the future of scubuntu.

Users

If you're scientist and are eager to start using scubuntu, please let us know by contacting the project team. Although there has not yet been a release of scubuntu, we do intend to have an installable version of scubuntu during 2008. In the meanwhile, it is possible to start using Ubuntu today with the many scientific applications that are already available. See this page for an overview of the packages that are already available in Ubuntu.

Developers

If you're passionate about Linux and Ubuntu and would like become part of developing scubuntu, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact the project team.

The scubuntu project intend to collaborate closely with existing efforts in Ubuntu around the packaging of scientific software. In particular, it will be useful to become involved with the MOTU Science team.
